Summer Concert Footage + Important Announcements!

Hello everyone! Sorry for the long gap between posts! We had a very busy summer! We performed 2 full shows, filmed several individual summer projects, and got ready for AnimeFest, where we performed in the cosplay contest and ran several panels!

We would also like to apologize for being so late in posting footage from A-Kon and Anime Daze! We realize that it’s terribly unprofessional to let videos hang in limbo for so many months, and we sincerely apologize! Now that things are sorted out and we have a new person in charge of video editing, things will run much more smoothly in the future!

We decided to do things a little differently this time, so instead of uploading a ton of videos for each show, we condensed them into nifty concert montages! So without further ado….

A-Kon Demo Space Concert

Anime Daze Concert

We had a great time at both of these events and we’re very grateful to the people in charge of each for allowing us to perform! We can’t wait to attend both again next year.

But now for a couple of member-related announcements! First generation member Michi has graduated from the group in order to focus on school and work. Michi performed with us in our appearance at A-Kon in 2009, and participated in many other projects as well! We wish Michi the best, and we all know that she’ll have great success in her career!  On the other hand, first generation member Kitt has been expelled from the group for rules violations, poor conduct, and being a terrible person in general. We apologize to any friends and supoprters of the group that have been negatively impacted by her behavior, and we assure you that we have washed our hands of this person entirely.  The Rangers are going on stronger than ever, despite all the drama that occurred this summer! We hope that you will continue to support us even as our lineup changes!

Thank you all for your continued support! We’re working hard on some exciting new projects, so expect some details soon! And stay tuned for videos of all the Summer!Projects, and footage of our skit at AnimeFest! ♥

A-Kon Afermath and Summer News!!

Hello everyone!! The Renai Rangers are back from A-Kon, and we all had an amazing time! We ended up doing 2 performances over the weekend! We had several serious obstacles to overcome in preparing for this event, but in the end we feel it was a big success and we can’t wait til next A-Kon, and all our future performances!

On Friday we performed Seishun Bus Guide in the JPop Cosplay Contest! It was a big hit with the crowd, even though we had some audio malfunctions and our sound wasn’t loud enough. We’d like to send out a special shout out to our sister group, Texas Musume, for placing 2nd in the contest! Great job girls!!! ♥  We’d also like to thank Amy, the leader of Texas Musume, for recording our performance so we can post it here for all of you!

On Saturday we performed a special show in the demo space of the convention! We did 6 songs total and we’ll have videos posted soon! Thank you to everyone who showed up and supported us!

In other news, we have a couple of special shows to announce to everyone! First, we’ll be performing at San Japan (July 9-11 in San Antonio, Texas) with Texas Musume!! We may have some other surprises in store for that weekend, so stay tuned!  Second, we’ll be doing a show at Anime Daze, a special event at the Irving Public Library on July 14th! We hope to see you there!  And of course, stay tuned for special summer projects and PV’s!! The Rangers have a busy summer planned!

We’ll be playing games, making important announcements, and answering your questions LIVE!! So if you have any questions to ask the group or group members you ca send them to renairangers@gmail.com  or post them in the Stickam chatbox! The Super Happy Fun Time Show is an interactive experience for the Rangers and all of our viewers, so please join in on the fun! ♥

We’re also excited to debut another practice video shot! This time it’s Cinderella Complex by High King! Once again, we were rehearsing for an upcoming performance and decided to film our progress! Unfortunately our video is one person short, as our Yuuka (Zetsumei) came down with food poisoning the morning of practice. We continued to practice and film without her, but we promise we’ll have the full cast for our performance, so stay tuned for the real deal! We hope you enjoy the video, and we’ll keep working hard to improve!!

Updates+New Video+Special Announcements!

Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates over the past couple of months, but the Renai Rangers are hard at work on some exciting projects!

In the time since we last updated, we’ve added two new members as part of 3rd generation, filmed 3 new videos (with even more on the way), resurrected some old subunits, and booked several really amazing performances! But we’ll be announcing those in a super-special way!

Thanks to requests by fans and the popularity of our subunit the Dot Com Cuties, we will be debuting our online variety/news show, the Renai Rangers Super Happy Fun Time Show this Saturday at 7:30pm Central Standard Time! We’ll be announcing some important news, playing fun games (that just might be familiar to fans of Utaban…..), debuting a new video and answering your questions live!! This is something that we’ve been planning to do since our group began, and we hope that you’ll tune in! ♥

Now for our newest video, subunit Yatta! practicing Buono’s “Bravo Bravo” for an upcoming show! This is just a practice dance shot so the girls are continuing to work hard to prepare for the real thing, but we hope you’ll enjoy our progress so far!

We’ll be making a special post tomorrow with details about the webshow, but in the meantime if you have any questions you’d like us to answer on the show, please send them to: renairangers@gmail.com

Performance Announcement and News

We’re pleased to announce our first performance of 2010!! The Renai Rangers will be performing at Mini A-Kon 3, a mini-convention before A-Kon this summer!! The event will be held on Saturday, January 30th at the Denton North Branch Library from 1-5pm! Subunit Yatta! will be performing a short set of songs before the cosplay contest and during the judges’ deliberation! And there will also be other exciting events taking place, such as contests, special guests, and panels!! We hope to see you there!! ♥ For more information, visit here: http://dentonlibrary.wordpress.com/2009/12/21/mini-a-kon-3/

In other, more gloomy news, we have a sad announcement to make. Subleader and First Generation member Kitt is on indefinite hiatus due to injury. We wish Kitt a safe and speedy recover, but it is currently unknown when or if she will be able to return to the Renai Rangers. The remaining members are still going on strong and adjusting to the new situation.

Due to this developement, First Generation member Zetsumei will be stepping in as Miyabi in Yatta! until Kitt returns. We are sad to replace Kitt, but very excited to work with Zetsumei! Mini A-Kon will be Zetsumei’s debut performance, so please come out and support her!

We’re currently working on our event schedule for 2010 and a few other exciting developements, so stay tuned and check back often!
